USAA, a San Antonio property and casualty insurance company, increased advertising spending by 38 percent from 2019 to 2020. The San Antonio Express News analyzes the increase in a recent article. Dr. Robert Hartwig explained that this is for a simple reason: the size of the private-passenger auto insurance premiums. In terms of the property and casualty industry, Hartwig says, “It’s the largest of all markets, so large-scale advertising shouldn’t be that surprising given that we’re talking about hundreds of millions of vehicles.”
