UofSC’s Website 3/17/2020: COVID-19 impact on life and health insurance

Moore School professor Dr. Robert Hartwig discussed the possible impact of COVID-19 on life and health insurance. Dr. Hartwig states the two areas that he is most closely paying attention to are, “Efforts by plaintiffs’ attorneys to stretch the definition of ‘physical damage’ to include the presences of COVID-19,… [and] the expansion of workers compensation benefits to health care workers and first responders who are quarantined for precautionary reasons.” Visit the University of South Carolina’s website to read more.
