WACH FOX 57 4/19/2022- SC Eviction Rates Reaching New Heights

Taylor Trafton · April 21, 2022 · Leave a Comment

The state of South Carolina has one of the highest eviction rates in the country and over the past year the cost of living has increased dramatically. Dr. Robert Hartwig states in an interview with Wach Fox 57, “The price of homes in South Carolina alone over the past year rose 25%.” He also adds that, “Inflation is driving up the costs of new rental units when constructed. It’s driving up the costs for landlords who have to maintain these units and ultimately that all brings pressure to those who are renting those apartments.” Click here to watch the video featuring Dr. Hartwig.
